Much Needed UPDATE!

Sorry It's been a while since our last post - We have just been busy living life and trying to keep up with our two year old, Tyler!

Yesterday we went to MD Anderson for Scotty's Routine MRI.  It has been six months now since he has been off the Chemotherapy, and ALMOST two years (June 10) since the initial brain surgery.

Our visit left us a little perplexed.  The MRI scan showed a small area of concern.  Scott's Oncologist on the other hand, did not seem too worried.  He felt like this scan could have had a technical error, but he is obviously not certain.  The "new growth" that was pick up is in the area that the tumor once was.  It could be scar tissue that is just now showing up in the scan or it could be that some of the left over cancer cells have decided that they want to come back.  This MRI scan showed quite a few "white spots" in Scott's Brain, which is unusual for his previous scans (hence the tech issues).  Everything on this scan was just brighter when the contrast was injected, during the MRI.  That is why the doctor did not seem too concerned.  But as a precautionary measure, Scott will now go back in one month (instead of the usual two months) for another MRI.  If that scan does not show the same thing, we are good; but if it does continue to show, or if it has progressed, they will need to do a biopsy on the area and we can formulate a plan of action!

Let's keep those prayers a comin', we need them! Our feeling right now is just kind of nervous, like we just seem to be walking around not knowing what exactly to do...but I just keep reminding myself (and Scotty) that this is the reason we go EVERY TWO months for scans, so that if there is something growing, we catch it sooner rather than later!!!!

We will update you all in a month - MUCH LOVE TO EVERYONE!!!!

Peter 5:7 : Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

**below are a few pictures Scott finally got the MRI nurse to take.  People always ask him what the MRI Machines are like and how in the world he fits in them...So here are some pictures.  He is a champ when it comes to getting the scans done, they don't even phase him.  He says,  "It's all just mind over matter!" - Thats our Scotty! :)

  1. We will keep praying

    Mark 11:22-24

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
